A great opportunity has arisen to build a multi asset energy trading desk across Power, EU Allowances (EUAs), Natural Gas (TTF), Guarantees of Origin (GOs) and cross-border Physical Transmission Rights (PTRs) based in Athens, Greece for a large Utlility Firm.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and loyal candidate who can help us build a multi asset trading desk based in Athens.
The ideal candidate will need to:
Have a accredited qualification equivalent to STA (Society of Technical Analysts) in technical analysis, Chart reading, quantitative models, and market intelligence to discover trends and patterns in various energy commodities.
Define, implement and execute proprietary trading strategies across forward horizons (weekly → multi-year) for Power, EUAs, Natural Gas (TTF) and GOs, combining physical and financial positions to optimise returns.
Track market fundamentals, including generation capacity, fuel prices, weather, and policy developments in South-East Europe. Models energy markets and performs quantitative analysis in order to identify trading strategies in various energy commodities and cross-border transmission rights.
Experience
Experience in technical analysis and commodity trading
Good understanding of energy markets.
Strong energy modelling, quantitative and analytic skills.
