ICAP Executive Search, on behalf of its client, a leading International Consulting Group specializing in business innovation and sustainable growth, is seeking to hire a Senior Innovation Consultant based in Athens.

Senior Innovation Consultant (6040/SIC/ESS/GR)

Role Overview:

This is a key role that combines technical expertise, strategic consulting, and project management to drive innovation, efficiency, and business impact for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop innovation consulting projects, ensuring all technical and administrative documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Identify and assess clients' innovation objectives through in-depth client interviews and audits, to evaluate R&D, digital innovation and other activities and helping define their technical development strategies.
  • Analyze project data and regulatory frameworks to determine eligibility for tax incentives or funding programs.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation (dossiers) in alignment with internal and client standards.
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation and policy developments, proactively sharing insights with colleagues.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to contribute to business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate project reporting and database updates using tools such as Salesforce.
  • Build lasting client relationships through consistent communication, reliability, and technical excellence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in R&D, IP, or ecological transition, or digital innovation consulting.
  • University degree in Engineering; registration with the Order of Engineers is preferred
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability topics is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build trust with clients and collaborate across teams.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and eager to grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in Greek and English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Comfortable using IT systems; experience with Salesforce is a strong asset.
