Chemical Engineer (Freelance / Consulting – R&D Project)

Location: Hybrid - minimum, Based on Project needs | Type: Project-based / Freelance

Are you a Chemical Engineer passionate about applying your expertise in materials, safety, and chemical processes to innovative challenges? We're working on a confidential R&D initiative in the field of fire protection and advanced materials, and we're looking for a freelance consultant to join our interdisciplinary team.

Role Overview

You'll contribute through defined work packages, giving you flexibility to deliver results on your own schedule while playing a central role in a project with significant technological and social relevance.

Responsibilities

· Select and/or formulate new firefighting compound mixes.

· Develop and evaluate fire-retardant / fire-resistant material formulations.

· Collaborate with mechanical engineers on chemical processes that support innovative system development.

· Conduct R&D studies, technical assessments, and feasibility evaluations.

· Perform both analytical calculations and hands-on lab experiments.

· Deliver technical documentation, reports, and recommendations to support decision-making.

Candidate Profile

· Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field).

· 4+ years of industrial experience, ideally in fire safety, chemical compounds, materials science, or related processes.

· Proven hands-on laboratory experience, in addition to analytical and theoretical expertise.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently while meeting defined deadlines.

· Eager to contribute to innovative engineering solutions with real-world impact.
