Intellectica is recruiting a seasoned Financial Controller on behalf of its client, a dynamic and fast-growing provider of integrated telecommunications and energy solutions. With a long-standing strategic partnership with leading providers in telecommunications and energy, the company delivers tailored connectivity and electricity services to a diverse portfolio of retail and business clients. Based in Athens, Greece, this role offers the opportunity to work directly with the Managing Director and the group's President, playing a key role in shaping financial strategy and driving operational excellence across the organization.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Act as a trusted financial partner to the Managing Director, working closely to monitor business performance and support strategic decision-making
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to guide operational and investment decisions
  • Lead the budgeting process across departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery of accurate forecasts
  • Monitor budget execution and analyze variances, preparing detailed reports and dashboards for management
  • Oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance with internal standards
  • Manage cash flow planning and liquidity monitoring to support operational needs and strategic initiatives
  • Supervise credit control processes, collaborating with the collections team to ensure timely receivables and risk mitigation
  • Collaborate with the in-house accounting team (5 members) to ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations and compliance
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
  • Support the transition from Atlantis ERP to SoftOne, in collaboration with the in-house IT and accounting teams
  • Evaluate and enhance existing financial processes, controls and reporting tools to improve efficiency and responsiveness
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; MSc degree in Finance, MBA, or relevant qualifications (ACCA, CFA, CPA) are preferred
  • At least
    8 years of experience
    in financial controlling or related roles
  • Experience within the construction sector or a related industry will be considered a strong advantage
  • Proven experience working in financial reporting and budgeting processes
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Exposure to credit control and collections processes
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Fluency in Greek and English (both written and verbal)
