We seek to employ dynamic and resourceful AML Compliance & Investigations Officers, with experience in the 2nd line of defense within the payments and/or banking sector, who will join our Compliance Department and add value to Euronet Merchant Services entity within Euronet EFT segment.

The successful candidates will be based in our offices in Athens and will be reporting to the AML Compliance & Investigations manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess and internally report potentially suspicious activity and transactions, respond to competent authorities' requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze Adverse Media, PEP and Sanction Screening alerts in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Conduct sampling assessments against Third Parties mandated to perform outsourced AML duties.
  • Add value in the implementation of the AML Alerting System, calibrating and enhancing AML Transanction Monitoring rules.
  • Contribute towards Gap Analysis on AML Policies and Procedures.
  • Accurately track and maintain AML Cases, Authorities' Requests & PEP databases, perform reviews in relation to Politically Exposed Persons.

Requirements

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Economic, Quantitative sciences etc. Professional qualifications on Compliance / Financial Crime / Risk / Audit will be considered a plus.
  • 3 - 8 years of AML Investigation's experience from the Financial Services (Banking or Payments/ E-Money Institutions).
  • Solid knowledge of the GR AML/CTF framework including EU AML Directives and knowledge of Card Schemes rules.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in the implementation and/or calibration of AML Systems.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and written.
  • Eligible to work in the EU on a full-time permanent basis without the need of employer sponsorship.
