Job Description

Job Title: Crew Manager
Reports to: CTOO
Location: Northen Suburbs Athens - GR
Job Summary: The Crew Manager will be responsible for all aspects of crew management for assigned vessels, including recruitment, deployment, and welfare of seafarers

Main Responsibilities

Leadership, planning and overall management of Crewing department
Propose long-term crewing strategy
Maintain crewing matrix for each vessel and monitor the on/off signing so that always cope with matrix requirements and the Crew Budget
Understand and respect all necessary visa requirements for different nationalities
Ensure crew certifications and training comply with international standards, OCIMF requirements and company's requirements
Budget and Cost control of crewing activities reporting monthly to CTOO each one deviation
Monitor and Manage crew performance evaluation proposing necessary replacements and disciplinary actions
Develop cadet programs and plan the promotions aiming to retain always highly qualified and competent crew.
Track records of crew's employment, agreements, and all necessary documentation
Conduct audits to the crew agents and Crew Managers so that to control that recruitment of Officers and ratings selected is conducted as per agreements
Liaise with internal and external parties to manage crew needs

Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience

University or Higher degree
Minimum 5 years proven experience in similar role
Knowledge/Experience with variety of vessels is considered an asset
Proven experience in budgeting and cost control
Sound understanding of SMS compliance systems
Strong leadership and team management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency of MS Office and ERP System (Knowledge of BENEFIT is considered an asset)
Fluent in written and oral English
