Location: Athens, Greece (Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-time

Application Deadline: 12/09/2025

About The Role
Odyssea is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist (or otherwise Employer Engagement & Job Matching Specialist)

to play a critical role in identifying companies and employers offering job opportunities that align with the skills, backgrounds, and career aspirations of Odyssea's beneficiaries—primarily refugees, migrants, and other vulnerable populations.

The specialist will be responsible for mapping open positions, building and maintaining strong employer partnerships, and ensuring effective job matching and placement. A key aspect of the role is to prioritise opportunities located near camps and community spaces, improving accessibility for the people we serve.

In addition to sourcing and securing job placements, the role involves staying informed about staffing needs, labour market trends, and blue-collar industry demands to better connect beneficiaries with realistic and sustainable employment pathways. While the focus is on employer engagement, the Talent Acquisition Specialist may also occasionally support employability counselling, such as interview preparation or job-readiness support.

The role may include occasional travel across Greece to support outreach missions and employer engagement activities. Awareness of legal frameworks related to refugee and migrant employment is a plus—but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Employer Engagement & Job Sourcing

  • Identify, engage, and build partnerships with companies across Greece, focusing on those near refugee camps and underserved communities.
  • Actively source relevant job opportunities that align with the skills, qualifications, and goals of Odyssea's beneficiaries.
  • Maintain a database of employer contacts and job openings, updating it regularly based on current market needs.
  • Provide guidance to employers on inclusive hiring practices and legal considerations related to hiring refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers.
  • Collaborate with Odyssea's Field, Employability, and Academy teams to align employer outreach with beneficiary profiles and availability.

Talent Matching & Recruitment

  • Analyse job descriptions and candidate profiles to support high-quality job matching.
  • Share appropriate job openings with internal teams and participate in shortlisting decisions.
  • Coordinate interviews between employers and referred candidates, offering ongoing support to both parties during the selection process.

Collaboration & Field Support

  • Participate in outreach missions and field visits as needed across Greece to support job matching and employer engagement.
  • Collaborate with Odyssea's Employability, Academy, and Field teams to align candidate supply with demand.
  • Remain informed about sector-specific hiring needs and the evolving labour market.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, employer relations, or similar fields.
  • Experience working with blue-collar and entry-level job markets, such as logistics, hospitality, or construction.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain employer partnerships and identify hiring needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both corporate and community stakeholders.
  • High level of organisation, initiative, and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, job platforms, Google Workspace, and CRM or ATS systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel across Greece for field missions.

Great to Have

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems, Google Workspace, Slack, and LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency with social media, CV databases, and professional networking tools.
  • Skills or experience in sales and/or marketing strategy, particularly in employer or partnership development.
  • Familiarity with the non-profit sector and a strong alignment with Odyssea's mission and values.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills to represent the NGO externally.
  • Awareness of employment eligibility laws for refugees and migrants in Greece.
