Job Description:
As an Android Developer at Schoox, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our Android applications that enable millions of learners worldwide. You'll join a team of highly-skilled developers and work in a fast-paced corporate environment where you'll have the opportunity to grow your skills and make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Implement new features in Kotlin using MVVM, Repository pattern, and clean architecture
  • Maintain and refactor parts of our legacy codebase written in Java
  • Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
  • Leverage and contribute to our shared Design System for consistent UI across platforms
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Android development
  • Proficient in Kotlin, with solid understanding of Java
  • Hands-on experience with MVVM, Repository pattern, and modern Android architecture
  • Familiarity with Git technology as well as Server communication technologies (HTTP, REST, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with existing Java code when needed
  • Fluency in English & Greek
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent proven experience in the field
