Accounting Associate

to join the Accounting Department of

The 
Accounting Associate

will be supporting the operations of selected stores and business units across Greece and the UK. The role offers exposure to a dynamic international environment that combines hospitality, retail, and F&B activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor day-to-day accounting operations for designated locations in Greece and the UK, ensuring proper recording and classification of all transactions.
  • Review, verify, and post purchase and expense invoices into the accounting system with accuracy and timeliness — part of which are now processed automatically through our AI-powered invoice recognition and posting tool.
  • Reconcile supplier, vendor, and creditor accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations per business unit, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Reconcile card transactions, ensuring completeness of documentation and clearing of related receivables.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, delivery notes, and outstanding credit notes to maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closings.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for accounting and financial documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance & Accounting or similar department
  • Solid work experience on similar role of at least 1 year
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with SoftOne
  • Fluency in English
