Costamare
is a global leader in the ownership and chartering of containerships and dry bulk carriers. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Engineer to join our Technical Support Group within the Containership Division's Technical Department.

Your Role

As an Assistant Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the technical management and operational excellence of our managed fleet. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the daily performance and progress of our managed container vessels.
  • Supporting the preparation of underwater inspections, schedules and documentation.
  • Collaborating with Superintendent Engineers to prepare dry-docking specification
    .
  • Management of retrofit and energy efficiency optimization projects
    .
  • Participating in technical purchasing procedures within the department.
  • Assisting Superintendent Engineers with day-to-day operational and technical matters.
  • Assisting with monitoring regulatory affairs, and compliance with Class rules and statutory requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture (required).
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (optional but highly appreciated).
  • Fluency in English (C2 certificate required).
  • Strong computer skills, especially with MS Office applications.
  • Previous experience in a similar technical or maritime support role.
