About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Linux Engineer to join our team and support one of our most strategic enterprise clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who wish to develop their technical expertise in Linux system administration and virtualization technologies. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the deployment, support, and maintenance of Linux servers, with a particular focus on hypervisor environments, such as KVM, Proxmox, or VMware. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to system reliability, performance optimization, and infrastructure scalability. This position is ideal for professionals, who are eager to deepen their experience in enterprise-grade virtualization and grow within a dynamic IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Participate in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of Linux-based systems and services.
· Support and monitor hypervisor platforms (e.g., KVM, Proxmox, VMware), ensuring optimal performance and
system availability.
· Assist in troubleshooting incidents related to infrastructure, applications, or services.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and technical operations.
· Document system configurations, operational procedures, and technical guidelines.
· Contribute to system updates, patch management, and performance tuning tasks.
· Ensure compliance with internal security standards and best practices in system administration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
· Minimum of 5 year of professional experience in a Linux system administration or support role.
· Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and basic shell scripting (e.g., Bash).
· Familiarity with hypervisors or virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware, Proxmox).
· Basic knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative technical team.
· Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory but a Plus)
· Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
· Basic IT security awareness and use of endpoint protection tools.
· Experience with ticketing/helpdesk platforms.
