ABOUT THE ROLE
We ensure the reliability and performance of both internal and external systems while enabling rapid improvement. Using open source, SaaS, and in-house tools, we manage and support the service lifecycle — deploy, configure, upgrade, monitor, and optimize.

We are seeking a Linux Systems Engineer experienced with bare metal edge devices (industrial PCs, embedded systems) to oversee development, production, and lifecycle maintenance of thousands of deployed units (x64, armhf, arm64).

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Automate deployment, maintenance, and upgrades across industrial PCs (alma9, Debian, vendor Linux)
• Onboard new hardware platforms and maintain existing ones
• Maintain custom Linux package repository for supported targets
• Develop and maintain lifecycle tools (Bash, Python, Go)
• Create production flows and CD processes for large-scale deployments
• Advocate for changes that improve reliability, performance, and serviceability

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• 5+ years with Linux, CLI, scripting, tools, and services
• Extensive experience with RHEL (CentOS, ALMA, Rocky) & Debian (Ubuntu)
• Proficient in package management (RPM, deb), building & cross-compilation
• Strong networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, routing, NAT, VPN, VLAN, web servers, proxies)
• Experience with industrial PCs, SBCs, embedded systems
• YOCTO/OpenEmbedded experience
• Strong scripting (Bash, Python) and C skills
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
• Team player, knowledge-sharing, minimal supervision
