Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant
to join our Finance team at our headquarters in Aspropyrgos, Attica.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. As part of the Finance Department, you will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and collaborate closely with other accounting professionals across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records in line with internal policies and accounting standards
• Process day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense claims, and general ledger entries
• Review and validate incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness before initiating payments
• Reconcile vendor and customer ledgers, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity
• Support the monthly closing process, working alongside AP/AR accountants and the Accounting Supervisor on financial forecasts and reporting
• Manage billing corrections and process customer refunds, ensuring all adjustments are well-documented and properly authorized
• Handle collections activities, including sending professional follow-up emails and making structured phone calls to resolve outstanding balances
• Provide cross-departmental support to ensure smooth financial workflows and alignment across business units
• Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, maintaining financial documentation, and managing mail related to financial transactions
• Assist with external audits, including preparing documentation, retrieving requested financial records, and responding to auditor inquiries to ensure a smooth and transparent audit process

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy
• Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
