Cyber Security Engineer

We are on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at Skyserv. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, eager to take the next step in their career. The role:

  • Analyze network and system activity on the Organization's systems, leveraging technologies such as EDR, XDR, and SIEM, to support detection capability development and incident response efforts.
  • Enable the Organization to respond to cyber incidents swiftly and effectively, supporting containment, eradication, remediation, and recovery efforts.
  • Support the Organization in identifying weaknesses in its infrastructure by deploying, configuring, and supporting cybersecurity tools
  • Develop and maintain security policies and controls across the Organization's ecosystem to protect user identities, sensitive data, email communications, and collaboration environments.
  • Perform technical implementation of security features such as multifactor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Just-in-Time (JIT) access.
  • Implement and optimize Microsoft 365 security and compliance solution, including Microsoft Defender XDR (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, Cloud Apps), Microsoft Purview (DLP, Insider Risk, Information Protection), and Entra ID security features.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer and Network Engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with security-related products and technologies (e.g., Network/Endpoint Security, IDS/IPS, Firewall, SIEM, XDR, SOAR, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of core networking and operating systems concepts.
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) would be considered advantageous.
  • Prior experience with log analysis, network traffic analysis, and endpoint analysis.
  • Experience in troubleshooting security and related network issues.
  • Professional certifications such as Fortinet NSE4, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft SC-200, Microsoft AZ-500 would be considered a strong plus.
  • Strong communication skills (in Greek and in English).
  • Military obligations fulfilled where applicable.
