Middleware Engineer

As a Middleware Engineer you will:
  • Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance-level administrative functions for middleware, including patch installation and capacity management
  • Monitor middleware performance and assist with ensuring middleware security
  • Analyze and resolve middleware user incidents
  • Monitor corporate and customer systems to ensure service availability
Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and relational databases (preferably Oracle) or SQL
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and administering Oracle middleware products (WebLogic, Apache Web Server, BI Publisher) or other Java application servers (e.g., WildFly, WebSphere, JBoss)
  • Experience in implementing middleware security
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and constructively on technical issues of varying complexity
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:
  • Knowledge of other Oracle software solutions (WebCenter Suite, UCM).
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management solutions (Oracle IdM or open source solutions)
  • Familiarity with Java
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (ie Gitlab, Jenkins)
