The Opportunity

We're seeking a visionary Chief Scientific Officer to lead our scientific strategy and drive the development of our groundbreaking oral vaccine platform. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of vaccine delivery and make a lasting impact on global health.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and expand our R&D efforts in vaccine development and delivery systems
• Drive the scientific vision and strategy for our oral vaccine platform
• Oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring scientific excellence and regulatory compliance
• Build and mentor a world-class scientific team
• Establish and maintain relationships with academic institutions, CROs, and industry partners
• Contribute to intellectual property strategy and patent applications
• Represent the company at scientific conferences and regulatory meetings
• Ensure all research activities align with business objectives and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in vaccine or therapeutic development
• Proven track record of leading successful R&D teams in biotech/pharma
• Strong background in mucosal immunology and/or oral drug delivery
• Experience with regulatory submissions (EMA/FDA) for biologics
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
• Fluency in English (Greek is a plus)

Preferred Experience

• Experience with heat-stable formulation development
• Background in enteric diseases or infectious diseases
• Strong publication and patent record
• Experience in both industry and academic settings
• Network within the global health and vaccine development community
