YOUR TASKS

• Provide 1st level technical support for troubleshooting of mechanical systems on wind turbines, such as Main and Pitch Bearings, Gearboxes, Brakes, Automated Lubrication Systems, Hydraulics, Bolts and screw connections, etc.
• Work within Nordex ticket system ServiceNow to prioritize and solve technical incidents
• Handle direct collaboration with Engineering in Headquarter (2nd and 3rd level support)
• Propose on-site actions to local technicians via ticket system, chat or phone
• When necessary, join technicians in wind turbines for hands-on support with troubleshooting or repairs (not more than few days per months, as necessary)
• Visit new turbine types to get hands-on experience with newest Nordex technology
• Escalate blocking points and high priority tickets
• Identify performance improvement measures
• Support identification of affected parts by use of SAP
• Support solution database and technical knowledge articles
• Review process descriptions and work instructions

YOUR PROFILE

• Professional education in mechanical, energy production or heavy machinery sector
• At least 3 years of experience in installation, maintenance or service of related mechanical components
• Background in wind energy is a big advantage but not a must
• A very good general understanding of electrical power production systems is required
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Fluent English spoken and written is a must - we're not expecting Shakespeare, but you should feel comfortable speaking in interviews and daily meetings with international colleagues;
• Systematic problem-solving behavior and strong trouble shooting skills
• Result oriented work ethic with strong team work and collaboration skills
• Resilience, flexibility and ability to work in an international, performance-oriented and diverse team
• Willingness to work in wind turbines on a regular basis
