Cloud Infrastructure Architect
As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will:
- Drive the design and implementation of new or existing technology solutions to enhance operational workflows and increase overall infrastructure efficiency;
- Work across hybrid environments, involving both on-premises systems and public cloud platforms—including operating systems, virtualization, databases, security, networking, firewalls, cloud environments (Azure, AWS/GCP), and container technologies like OpenShift and Kubernetes;
- Develop secure infrastructure architectures with a strong emphasis on high availability, ensuring continuous operation of services and platforms whether hosted in data centers or public cloud environments;
- Promote ongoing enhancement of architectural standards, frameworks, and security protocols;
- Monitor and validate that infrastructure and operations meet defined security policies and service level agreements, ensuring the effectiveness of security and performance measures.
What would make you a fit for the role:
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science and over 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure or cloud consulting roles;
- A proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional IT initiatives;
- Solid experience working with Application Servers (IIS, JBoss, WebLogic, Apache/Tomcat) and designing 2-tier and 3-tier system architectures;
- Deep familiarity with Windows Server environments , including deployment, setup, and maintenance;
- Strong technical skills in RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift);
- Proficiency in Java scripting, RESTful API integration, and project tools such as JIRA;
- Experience with major cloud platforms, especially Azure, AWS, and IBM Bluemix;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with administrative scripting and automation tools such as Python, Perl, or Go;
- Basic understanding of networking concepts including firewalls, load balancing, and routing;
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and the ability to mentor clients or team members;
- Analytical thinking with solid research and troubleshooting capabilities.
