About the job opportunity

We are currently looking for Android developers that want to become part of our expanding mobile team in a full-time working position. If you are a passionate Android developer looking to work as part of a team of motivated individuals, come join us.

What Will I Be Doing?

As an Android developer you will:

• Participate in the design, development and testing of existing mobile applications.
• Work in collaboration with our product team in order to translate the company and customer needs into state-of-the-art, functional and beautiful interactive applications.
• Work closely with our backend teams to understand, shape and consume backend APIs.
• Write clean, testable and maintainable code.

What skills do I need?

• You'll need to have at least 3 years of experience in coding with Kotlin. Understanding of Android's best practices, UI/UX guidelines and the Android SDK are essential. Knowing the Play Store submission process and its rules is also important.
• A large part of the functionality you will be delivering will be possible by calling out to our own and third-party APIs, so knowing how to find your way around and use RESTful services is a must.
• We heavily use asynchronous code using Kotlin's coroutines, so if you think in suspend/launch/await terms and prefer it over callback hell, you will be in good company.
• We tend to move fast, so you will also have to. The code you create should have adequate unit test coverage that allows you to prevent regressions and refactor with confidence. Knowledge of mocking frameworks like mockk or mockito is a definite plus.
• This is not a green-field opportunity, so you will be called to read, maintain and refactor code for existing applications.
• You should be comfortable in creating custom UI components with Jetpack Compose.
• Willingness to push the envelope and try cutting-edge technologies like Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) plus basic familiarity with the iOS ecosystem (Swift, SwiftUI, Xcode etc) will be a valuable asset.
• Greek candidates need to have fulfilled military obligations and ability to communicate in Greek and English (verbal & written form, business proficiency).

Where will I be working?

Our current policy over office attendance is that of a hybrid model allowing our engineers to work remotely while meeting up a few times per week at the office.

Engineers that are based outside Athens are considered fully remote employees while always being welcome to join us at the office for a team event

What happens when I apply?

The first step in our hiring process is to review your CV. If you seem to be qualified for this position, we will be having a quick phone call with you to welcome you to the process and we will give you a take home code challenge to work on your own time. Once we receive your response to the challenge, the next step is its evaluation from our Engineering managers. Depending on the challenge review, our HR team will inform you for the last recruiting stage which is an interview (virtual or physical) with the recruiting team (HR and Engineers).

The interview time is focused on cultural fit and technical discussion mainly on the code challenge you have sent.
