The role in detail

As a Solutions Architect, you will be the technical thought leader bridging business vision with engineering execution. You'll architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions — while translating complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for client proposals and RFPs. Acting as the technical authority, you'll collaborate closely with delivery, sales, and pre-sales teams to design solutions that are both technically sound and commercially viable.

You'll lead architecture discussions, define the end-to-end solution design across application, data, and cloud layers, and contribute to the technical documentation and proposals that win business. This role demands equal parts technical depth, strategic thinking, and communication excellence.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

• Analyze, design, and architect modern software solutions following microservices and event-driven principles.
• Define technical roadmaps and ensure architectural consistency across solutions and delivery teams.
• Lead the definition of cloud-native architectures leveraging Azure (preferred), AWS, or hybrid environments.
  
• Design scalable, secure, and highly available architectures integrating backend, frontend, and data components.
  
• Define database schemas and data flows across relational (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) systems.
  
• Provide technical direction and governance across projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  
• Mentor and guide cross-functional development teams (Frontend, Backend, AI & Data, DevOps).
  
• Collaborate with the DevOps team on deployment strategies using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure DevOps.
  
• Support integration of ML models and data-driven components in collaboration with the AI Center of Excellence.
• Partner with pre-sales and business development teams to design innovative solutions that address client challenges.
• Translate business and functional requirements into high-level technical architectures and solution proposals.
  
• Author and review technical sections of proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations.
  
• Articulate value propositions, technical differentiators, and architectural justifications in client-facing documentation.
  
• Contribute to estimations for time, effort, and resource planning for new opportunities.
  
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Clients to align solutions with business objectives.
  
• Communicate technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
• Champion best practices in software design, security, and DevOps across delivery teams.

To be successful at this role you need the following (hard and soft skills):

• Proven experience designing solutions based on Spring / Spring Boot in a microservices architecture.
• Strong background in event-driven systems, message queues, and component-based architecture.
  
• Deep understanding of relational databases (Postgres, MySQL) and data modeling principles.
  
• Experience designing high-availability, scalable, and secure solutions (RBAC, OAuth2, encryption).
  
• Solid grasp of cloud architectures (Azure preferred; AWS a plus).
  
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills — ability to produce clear, structured, and persuasive documentation.
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and align multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in Data Engineering and implementing AI/Machine Learning solutions will be a strong asset
• Have hands-on experience with Azure cloud, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes.

Bonus points:

• Have practical experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
• Have contributed to or led proposal development, RFP responses, or technical bid writing.
  
• Understand DevOps and automation best practices.
  
• Bring exposure to AI/ML integration within enterprise systems.
  
• Have hands-on experience with Azure AKS, Terraform, or infrastructure as code.
