Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior System Administrator at METRO, you will be a key technical expert, responsible for the design, administration, and evolution of our hybrid infrastructure. Your focus will include:

  • Cloud Infrastructure:
    • Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric environments, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
    • Support and optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources as needed.
  • Server & Data Center Administration:
    • Perform advanced administration of Windows-based (primarily) and some Linux servers across multiple data centers.
    • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of new hardware and software.
  • Microsoft 365 Ecosystem:
    • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, and SharePoint.
  • Systems Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Proactively monitor system health, event logs, and performance metrics using modern management tools.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring seamless operation of all components.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce robust security policies, permissions, and patch management.
    • Collaborate with the Information Security Officer to harden and secure the infrastructure.
  • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with Network Administrators to optimize network infrastructure.
    • Provide advanced technical support to the 1st level helpdesk team, resolving escalated issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive infrastructure projects with internal and external partners.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies and pursue relevant certifications.
    • Participate actively in our Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity project

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure administration.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong knowledge of Hyper-V Hypervisors, Windows Server Technologies and SAN Storage.
  • Good understanding of networking and distributed computing environments.
  • Proven track record in large-scale IT projects, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Microsoft certifications (especially Azure, Fabric, or M365) are highly desirable.
