PAVIMAR S.A. Is looking for a Marine/Vetting Superintendent

Pavimar S.A., a global Ship Management company operating a fleet of Dry Bulk carriers worldwide is looking for a Marine/ Vetting Superintendent. The successful candidate will be part of the Company's Marine Department and will report to the Marine Manager.

Responsibilities

• Monitors dry bulk fleet's planned maintenance program with respect to deck condition
• Implements Company's Preventive Maintenance System
• Monitors and physical attending Vetting / Rightship, PSC inspections and any 3 party inspection.
• Monitors troubleshooting of defects and follow-up of unscheduled repairs
• Spares and stores/consumables review and approval
• Monitors assigned vessels' expenditure vs operating expenses budget targets

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working experience as a Marine Superintendent position in dry bulk shipping companies
• Minimum 5 years sea service as Deck Officer
• ISM, ISPS, MLC & ISO certified auditor
• Trained in Vetting, Risk Assessment, Investigation & Analysis
• Have in depth knowledge of Marine department's full range support
• Willing to travel abroad
• Excellent command of Greek & English languages
• Computer literate, (MS Office suite & Benefit ERP)
• Good interpersonal & communication skills (verbal & written) with ability to interact between shore and ship teams
• Good negotiations skills
• Strong safety culture
• Team player
