Zuma is a contemporary Japanese restaurant collection inspired by the informal yet sophisticated Izakaya dining style. Based in Mykonos, this role is part of our first lifestyle concept — a vibrant seasonal destination that blends Zuma's signature dining experience with the island's effortless sophistication and energy.
Main Duties
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage all sections and ensure every section is fully prepared, maintaining Zuma's signature standards
- Monitor the quality of dishes during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate
- Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring proper food storage, handling, and cleanliness across the kitchen
- Oversee food ordering, receiving, and inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and manage costs
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and productivity, while working closely with Front of House to ensure seamless service
What We Look For

- Proven experience as a sous chef in a luxury high-volume restaurant
- A strong leader who thrives in supporting and mentoring kitchen teams to achieve excellence
- Well organised, customer-oriented and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences
- Previous experience in Japanese cuisine desired but not essential
