Corporate Lawyer

On behalf of our client, a distinguished legal firm specializing in corporate law and business consulting, we are looking for a skilled Corporate Lawyer to join their team in Athens.

This is a strategic role ideal for a legal professional with deep expertise in corporate governance, commercial contracts, and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting both Greek and international clients through complex corporate operations, start-up services, and regulatory processes.

About the Role

We are looking for a Corporate Lawyer to join an international legaltech boutique firm based in Athens. You will provide legal guidance on corporate structures and governance, commercial agreements, GDPR compliance, and intellectual property through trademark registrations. The role is ideal for professionals with a passion for cross-border corporate advisory, blending legal expertise with business acumen and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Advisory & Business Set-Up:

• Advise clients on legal entity selection and incorporation processes
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts
• Handle GEMI and tax authority registrations
• Support foreign investors with Greek regulatory and licensing requirements
• Provide legal guidance for setting up branches or subsidiaries in Greece
• Prepare and manage corporate governance documentation (articles of incorporation, shareholder agreements, minutes, resolutions)

Compliance & Data Protection:

• Ensure GDPR alignment and monitor corporate legal compliance under Greek and EU law
• Manage director liability and corporate governance risks
• Address data protection concerns and implement policies

Intellectual Property:

• Register and protect trademarks (EUIPO, WIPO, SPTO)
• Conduct feasibility assessments for trademark applications

Client & Lead Management:

• Handle client inquiries and follow up on legal leads
• Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospects and clients

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate law (ideally in commercial or cross-border operations)
• Law degree (LL.M. preferred or equivalent proven experience)
• Solid background in commercial law; exposure to shipping law and tax law is a plus
• Excellent command of English (C1+ level); knowledge of additional languages is a plus
• Familiarity with Greek business and investment regulations
• Experience with legal operations related to foreign direct investment, company structuring, and compliance
• High level of comfort with technology and digital tools is highly important
