Due to continuous growth and expansion, Pharmathen Pharmaceuticals offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to recruit a Rewards Officer for the Rewards department at our Marousi premises.
As a Rewards Officer the ideal candidate will assist in payroll administration and rewards operations by managing payroll processes and supporting the implementation of reward initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
More particularly:
What you will do:
- Process payroll accurately and on time using payroll software/systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
- Verify timekeeping records, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues or inquiries from employees
- Administer timekeeping system
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in HRIS or payroll systems
- Submit employment data (e.g. hiring, termination of employment, time shifts, overtime, annual leave) to external public authorities in compliance with the required time frames
- Generate reports and extract payroll-related data for analysis, compliance, and reporting purposes
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data by performing regular reconciliations, identifying, and correcting errors as needed
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, including paycheck concerns, tax forms, and deductions
- Provide timely and accurate responses to employee questions, escalating complex issues to senior team members as necessary
- Stay informed about labor law, regulations, and compliance requirements related to payroll processing
- Ensure payroll practices and processes adhere to applicable legal requirements and company policies, including confidentiality and data protection standards
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Previous experience of 2-4 years in payroll administration or related HR functions, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems for managing employee records and processing payroll (SCAN, SAP Success Factors) will be considered an asset
Job-Specific Skills:
- Working knowledge in using payroll software/systems and Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll data, with a focus on maintaining data integrity and confidentiality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and managers
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving payroll issues and discrepancies
- Team player mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments and functions
- Adaptability and flexibility to learn new systems, processes, and regulations affecting payroll operations
