We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Technical Specialist to join our Matching Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the research, review, and resolution of complex content matching cases, especially those that require advanced industry knowledge and judgment. You will also play a key role in optimizing internal workflows and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product features and overall team performance.

This role requires a strong understanding of digital content metadata, content identification systems, and manual data matching processes, as well as a passion for music and media.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed research and review of complex proposed content matches, including escalated cases requiring advanced knowledge of metadata and content usage.
  • Support ongoing quality assurance efforts and help lead special projects related to content ingestion, enrichment, and categorization.
  • Collaborate with team leads and stakeholders to identify and implement improvements to manual matching best practices and workflows.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of data sources and verification tools, documenting findings to support operational improvements.
  • Identify system or product issues that affect performance and communicate findings to relevant teams for resolution.
  • Review automated content matches to identify patterns in errors and provide feedback to refine matching algorithms and flagging systems.
  • Participate in trial processes for new client onboarding or new product features, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Other duties assigned by the Supervisor, Technical Matching

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant industry experience in content management, metadata analysis, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and G-Suite tools. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good ear for music and familiarity with music genres, trends, and media content is highly desirable.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and proactive in sharing knowledge and supporting teammates.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of digital media platforms and content rights management (e.g., YouTube CMS) is a strong plus.
  • Experience with SQL or data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Metabase, Snowflake) is a strong plus.
