Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join us to drive and scale up our products,  systems and services in the Entertainment industry

You will primarily support the growth of Orfium's Cue Sheets management engineering team and the improvement of an outstanding Orfium product, and focus on building & developing a high-performing cross-functional team, guiding through any challenges that come with being a scaling tech company.

• Drive - architecture design and technical discussions within the engineering members and team architect

• Improve - the quality of the end product by monitoring and improving software development practices
• Develop - yourself by growing as an engineering leader

Qualifications 

• Critical thinking & Analytical mindset. You are an aficionado of data driven decision making
• System thinking, and ability to drive architecture vision for your area of responsibility. You have led cross-team delivery initiatives in the past for complex software projects
• Strong people management skills, and experience with managing engineering teams directly, as well as mentoring and leading other engineering managers
• Sense of ownership, and shameless accountability
• Bias for action; no problem or opportunity goes unnoticed for too long under your watch
• Growth mindset with constant focus on the development of your team members and yourself alike
• Understanding of agile software delivery principles and practices
• Proven Development Experience as a technology expert, preferably on cloud-native software systems
• Experience in leading cross-functional agile engineering team
• Able to design, implement and oversee engineering processes
• In-depth understanding of Modern System Architectures, Design Patterns & Engineering Best Practices, Data Structures
• Willingness to continuously learn and develop your skills. For you, there is always more to learn and improve
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)

Nice to Have 

• Proven track record in team transformation in the past - changes in roles or engineering processes which made your teams more efficient are a huge plus
• Worked in or led product led engineering teams in the past
• Experience with data flows technologies and complex data pipelines
• Love for music
