Android Developer Position

Key Responsibilities
  • Transform designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code.
  • Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks, as well as fix bugs.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
  • Relevant experience in software development.
  • Experience in launching Android apps on Google Play is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different Android versions, and handling various screen sizes.
  • Understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Continuous learning, skill improvement, sharing knowledge, and adapting to processes and conventions.

Desired Technical Skills
  • 4+ years of Android software development experience.
  • 1+ years of Kotlin software development experience will be considered beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Programming experience interfacing with server APIs via JSON.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs for connecting Android applications to backend services.
  • Understanding of functional programming principles.
  • Knowledge of algorithms and complexity.
