Lab Technician

The role of the lab technician is multifaceted and requires a strong foundation in analytical procedures. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results, as well as implementing and maintaining safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform calibration and verification of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality control checks on intermediate and finished products to determine compliance with established standards.
  • Receive and inspect raw materials to verify their conformity to specified characteristics.
  • Develop and implement internal control charts to monitor the reliability of laboratory results.
  • Participate in interlaboratory testing programs to evaluate the accuracy and precision of laboratory methods.
  • Implement and maintain a raw materials traceability system to ensure the origin and identity of raw materials are accurately recorded.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
