As a Chief Site Engineer, you will lead the execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Your primary objective is to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all engineering aspects of construction projects, overseeing every stage of development, including planning, execution, and final inspection.
  • Supervise site engineers and junior staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support to foster their growth and development.
  • Ensure that on-site construction activities are executed in accordance with local regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to identify potential issues and resolve them proactively.
  • Review and approve engineering designs and technical documentation to guarantee accuracy and precision.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by establishing and enforcing strict safety protocols and best practices across all job sites.
  • Optimize the availability and efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in building construction projects, preferably in the hospitality and commercial sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects, with hands-on site experience in hotel construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong understanding of project organization, particularly regarding health and safety planning and implementation.
  • Excellent project management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to travel and work on projects across Greece as required.
