Senior IFRS Specialist Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IFRS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking the processing of complex and specialized accounting issues in the context of the preparation of financial statements based on International Financial Reporting Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the processing of complex and specialized accounting issues in the context of the preparation of financial statements based on International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Update the Group's accounting policies and principles, by monitoring the new standards, amendments and interpretations adopted by the European Union
  • Prepare interim and annual financial statements of the Company and the Group, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Handle the accounting of corporate transformations
  • Coordinate and support the audits carried out by external auditors

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree from a University in Accounting or Economics
  • Master's degree in Accounting will be considered an additional qualification
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in international financial standards in financial services and/or group accounting and/or multinational and/or auditing companies
  • Experience in the Energy sector will be considered an additional qualification
  • Professional qualification from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (IESOEL)
  • License of Class A' Accountant of Economic Chamber of Greece will be considered an additional qualification
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
