**Job Description**We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team in Athens. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and smooth collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day entries in the General Ledger and process accounting documents.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, payroll taxes) in compliance with Greek tax legislation.
  • Monitor and perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, cash, expenses, receivables, and payables.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and collaborate with external auditors for statutory audits.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, manage depreciation schedules, and monitor other asset-related transactions.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to internal accounting procedures and policies.
  • Support the budgeting process and contribute to financial analysis activities.
  • Communicate and liaise with public authorities as needed.

Requirements:Professional Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience with Greek Tax Legislation and Greek GAAP.
  • Experience in working with ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with IFRS will be considered an additional asset.
Academic Background & Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or technical institution in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Valid A΄Class Accountant - Tax Consultant License from the Economic Chamber of Greece.
Languages & Technical Capabilities: 
  • Fluency in Greek and good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.
  • Proficiency with ERP accounting software.
