Ocean Freight Specialist

We are seeking an individual to fill a role in our freight rate filing department. As a freight rate filing employee, you will be responsible for accurately entering ocean freight rates into our internal TMS application.

• Receive new filing requests and verify the accuracy of the information provided by customers.
• Enter ocean freight rates into our internal TMS application, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
• Investigate disputes between clients and MSC by identifying procedural lapses and determining steps that were not properly followed.
• Educate agents on necessary requirements, fostering an efficient workflow by ensuring timely filing of rates with fewer errors.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Fluency in English, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• Eagerness to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
