Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Network Operations Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our network infrastructure group, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, auditing and supporting our growing network infrastructure.

You will work closely with our team to design and implement maintainable, secure and highly available network architectures that meet business objectives. Your primary focus will be on providing Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve network outages for remote sites, resolving operational issues and restoring services.

You will also provide expert-level root cause analysis for issue troubleshooting, review client topology drawings and design concepts, draft and maintain service documentation and processes, and work within established configuration and change management policies and tools.

In addition, you will determine bottlenecks, enhance automation of repetitive tasks, and work with other System Engineers to plan, design and improve business services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a network engineer is required.
  • A thorough understanding of basic high-level Internet protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc.) is necessary.
  • An understanding of authentication, authorization protocols and schemes is also required.
  • A solid grasp of networking Security, IP Routing, VPN (SSL VPN, IPSec, OpenVPN, etc) is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Series and HP Aruba switches is required.
  • Experience working in Linux is considered an asset.
  • Certifications such as Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper are preferred but not mandatory.
