Junior Finance Analyst Position

Energean, a leading independent E&P company, is seeking an experienced Junior Finance Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team in Athens. This role involves analyzing financial and economic data to support strategic decision-making processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and updating financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on industry-related metrics;
  • Conducting economic analysis for existing and new oil and gas projects across our areas of operations;
  • Analyzing financial metrics in specific projects, including revenue, profitability, cost, etc.;
  • Applying sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions;
  • Assisting in the preparation of management, board of directors, or external stakeholder presentations;
  • Researching industry trends and analyzing economic factors such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices;
  • Supporting credit processes, loan monitoring, and reporting for lenders and banks;
  • Supporting debt raising activities, including company presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and know your customer (KYC) processes.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related field;
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of an international team;
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite applications, particularly Excel;
  • Knowledge of financial statements and economic models.
