Executive Pizza Chef

As a skilled culinary professional, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality Italian cuisine, with a focus on pizza making. Your expertise will involve not only cooking but also ensuring consistency, training staff, and contributing to menu innovation. You must maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety while efficiently managing the kitchen section during service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialized Food Preparation and Quality Control: Oversee kitchen operations according to established menus, maintaining the highest quality standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop daily and seasonal Italian restaurant menus, complementing culinary offerings and meeting customer preferences.
- Training and Mentoring Junior Chefs: Provide guidance and instruction to junior staff, teaching them specific techniques and helping them refine their skills and grow in their careers.
- Health, Safety, and Sanitation Compliance: Enforce strict sanitation and hygiene practices in the kitchen, including equipment maintenance, cleaning schedules, and compliance with health regulations.
- Creativity and Innovation in Specialization: Stay updated on trends in the culinary world, incorporating new ideas and techniques as appropriate.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and kitchen procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on high-volume or fine dining environments.
- In-depth knowledge of various Italian cooking & pizza making techniques, ingredients, and food presentation.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, with a second language being considered a plus.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and POS (Point of Sales) systems.
