Job Summary

Energean is seeking a highly skilled Junior Finance Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team in Athens. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, gathering, and interpreting technical, financial, and economic data for financial analysis used for strategic decision-making, such as investment decisions and funding needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and update financial models using historical data and provide forecasts based on various industry-related metrics.
  • Conduct economic analysis for existing and new oil and gas projects across Energean's areas of operation in Greece, Israel, Italy, Egypt, and Croatia.
  • Analyze financial metrics in specific projects, including revenue, profitability, cost, and other key performance indicators.
  • Apply sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Assist in preparing management, board of directors, or external stakeholder presentations.
  • Research industry trends and analyze economic factors, such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices.
  • Support credit processes, loan monitoring, and reporting for lenders and banks.
  • Support debt raising activities, including company presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting, banking, or advisory.
  • Big 4 and/or Oil & Gas/Energy Industry experience is highly valued.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek languages (oral and written communication).
  • Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
  • Computer literate and experienced with MS Office suite of applications.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Reading and understanding of financial statements and financial/economic models.
  • Hands-on experience with financial models/cash flow modeling is a plus.
