Warehouse Manager Job Description

Our organization is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations and drive operational excellence. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and effective management of inventory, facilities, personnel, and optimize warehouse processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control methodologies, logistics best practices, and safety, quality, and compliance standards. They must possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire teams to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and performance enhancement by implementing best practices, SOPs, and technology solutions like WMS to automate processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leadership: Lead and manage warehouse staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to foster teamwork and accountability.
  • Task Delegation: Delegate tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations to drive employee engagement.
  • Workflow Optimization: Implement best practices and SOPs to optimize workflows, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor KPIs and metrics to assess warehouse performance, utilization, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management or logistics operations, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles for cold storage and/or ambient.
  • Language Skills: Good business writing and verbal skills in both Greek and English.
  • Technology Skills: Advanced MS Office skills.
