Cloud Technology Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technology department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain managed services offerings based on implementation engineer reports and customer feedback.
  • Support the automation of infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
  • Facilitate the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless continuous integration and delivery.
  • Conduct R&D to explore new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance service offerings and improve processes.
  • Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions for proactive issue detection.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation/design for managed services and offerings.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Azure and DevOps tools, practices, and technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in related roles.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure management.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and other related security solutions.
  • Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Mobile Device Management (MDM), and Intune.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and its management.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Any certifications in Azure or M365 (e.g. Azure Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) will be considered a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes will be a plus.
