Energean, an independent E&P company, is seeking a Junior Finance Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team in Athens. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in preparing and interpreting financial data for strategic decision-making.

Energean operates production, development, and exploration assets with a strong track record of health, safety, and environmental management. Our approximately 70% gas-weighted portfolio includes over 1,200 MMboe 2P reserves and 2C resources. We are committed to sustainable development and aim to be a net-zero emitter by 2050.
Job Description
The Junior Finance Analyst will be responsible for:
- Updating financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on industry-related metrics;
- Conducting economic analysis for existing/new oil and gas projects across our areas of operations;
- Analyzing financial metrics in specific projects (revenue, profitability, cost, etc.);
- Applying sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions;
- Assisting in the preparation of Management, Board of Directors, or external stakeholder presentations;
- Researching industry trends and analyzing economic factors such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices;
- Supporting credit processes, loan monitoring, and reporting for lenders and banks;
- Supporting debt-raising activities, including company presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field;
- Excellent command of English and Greek language (oral and written communication);
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Office suite of applications, particularly Excel;
- Strong analytical skills with emphasis on accuracy and detail;
- Ability to work independently and as part of an international team;
- Strong drive, enthusiasm, and a 'can-do' attitude;
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality;
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in a dynamic environment.
