Cyber Security Manager Role

This role involves managing cybersecurity activities within wider projects, identifying, evaluating, and designing best-in-class security services from security operational, architectural, and engineering perspectives.

Responsibilities include service management of the team, overall use of resources, and initiation of corrective action where required for the SOC team. Additionally, the role involves success in security incident monitoring, identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, and mitigation efforts.

Participation in incident response (IR) efforts is also required, including detect, identify, respond, contain, and remediate information security incidents. Tactical support may be needed for major incidents impacting clients.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), process adherence, and process improvement to achieve operational objectives. Coordination and collaboration with Deloitte's EMEA Cyber Security Centre is also necessary to support service delivery.

Requirements
  • Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or equivalent.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a SOC (leading) position, preferably in an MSSP or consulting company.
  • Working experience in security technologies such as: SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, Proxy, WAF, EDR, Anti-Virus, Sandboxing, network- and host-based firewalls, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of APT tactics, techniques, and procedures.
  • Understanding of possible attack activities such as network probing/scanning, DDOS, malicious code activity, etc.
  • Technical expertise in incident response planning, handling, and management.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC certification, and MS Certification, will be considered a plus.
  • Demonstrate leadership and communication skills.
