Senior Banking Application Developer

A Senior Developer position is available for a skilled professional to design, develop and maintain core banking applications. The successful candidate will work closely with the bank's team to understand business requirements and implement solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing and maintaining core banking applications, working closely with the bank's team to understand business requirements and implement solutions, writing efficient and scalable code to support the client's core systems, debugging and resolving any technical issues that arise in the production environment, ensuring all code is thoroughly tested and meets quality standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications required include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, working experience in Mainframe Development with Cobol, hands-on experience with core banking systems (at least one application area, e.g. deposits, loans, cards etc.), strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, knowledge of CICS, DB2 and JCL.
