IT Business Applications Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team as an IT Business Applications Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability of critical business applications, particularly SAP ERP systems, on a 24/7 basis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT, with experience in managing and supporting SAP ERP systems, including user administration, data creation, and troubleshooting.

They will also be responsible for providing application support services, including service outage diagnosis and restoration of service.

In addition, they will assist in server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, and operating system upgrades.

Strong communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential for this role.

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field and relevant work experience, although we welcome applicants who can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills through other means.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in ensuring critical business applications are available 24 hours a day.
  • Manage and support SAP ERP systems, including user administration, data creation, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide application support services, including service outage diagnosis and restoration of service.
  • Assist in server infrastructure management, performance monitoring, and operating system upgrades.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience in IT.
  • SAP ERP good knowledge and support for desktop OS and applications including patches.
  • IT Degree qualification is preferred but not essential with earlier relevant experience.
  • Strong PC skills based on Microsoft operating systems and applications.
  • Preferred knowledge of programming languages HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
