Venergy Marine Management LTD. is a dynamic, privately-owned shipping company headquartered in Piraeus, Greece. Operating a growing fleet of modern eco tanker vessels, we are committed to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient maritime transportation services worldwide. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a Purchasing Officer who will report directly to the Technical/Purchasing Manager and play an important role in smooth, efficient and compliant procurement and coordination of procurement activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the day-to-day procurement activities of the Company and contribute to the efficient supply of goods and services to the fleet.
• Receive and process purchasing requests from vessels and internal departments.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations, considering price, quality, delivery time and technical requirements.
• Assist in supplier communications, quotation requests, negotiations and purchase order administration.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with Company procedures and approval levels.
• Follow up purchase orders through to final delivery and proactively address delays, discrepancies and urgent vessel requirements.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of spares, stores, equipment and services in accordance with operational requirements.
• Liaise with vessels and the Technical Department to clarify specifications and purchasing requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and related documentation.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and performance monitoring and contribute to maintaining the approved supplier database.
• Support invoice reconciliation and assist in resolving discrepancies between quotations, purchase orders, deliveries and invoices.
• Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for purchasing efficiencies and savings.
• Assist in the preparation of procurement reports, statistics and relevant information for management review.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalization of procurement processes.
• Ensure procurement activities are conducted in accordance with Company procedures, approval authorities and applicable compliance requirements. CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Bachelor's degree in Shipping, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the shipping sector.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Experience with Danaos and/or maritime procurement systems will be considered an advantage.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and ability to compare and evaluate purchasing alternatives.
• High sense of responsibility and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
