Do you enjoy turning complex ideas into content people actually want to read, watch and share?
As a Communications Officer, you will help shape how KMOP’s EU-funded projects communicate their work, engage their audiences and share results that make an impact. Working at the intersection of communications and European project delivery, you will manage the day-to-day communications of our projects. From developing communication plans to producing social media content, managing websites, filming interviews and covering events, this is first and foremost a hands-on communications role. You will work across projects addressing some of today’s most pressing social challenges, including mental health, education, equality, digital inclusion, artificial intelligence and democratic participation.
As a Communications Officer, you will:
• Develop and implement communication, dissemination and exploitation plans for EU-funded projects, defining audiences, messages, channels, activities and KPIs.
• Manage the day-to-day communications of assigned projects, working closely with Project Managers and European partners to coordinate activities, deliverables and deadlines.
• Turn complex project ideas, technical language and research findings into clear and engaging content for different audiences and channels.
• Create content for social media, websites, newsletters, press releases and campaigns, adapting tone and format to each platform and audience.
• Manage project social media channels and WordPress websites, including editorial planning, publishing and regular content updates.
• Design social media visuals and communication materials using Canva, in line with project and organisational branding.
• Plan, record and edit short-form videos, interviews and event content, while capturing high-quality photos and footage during project activities.
• Develop presentations, event materials, campaign assets and content for project outputs.
• Monitor communication performance, track KPIs and dissemination activities, and prepare communication reports for EU-funded projects.
• Participate in international project meetings and travel within Europe to represent KMOP, present communication activities and collaborate with project partners.
• Contribute to the wider work of the Communications team, bringing curiosity, creativity and a strong sense of ownership to every project. What you’ll bring:
• A university degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field. A relevant Master’s degree will be considered an asset.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of professional experience in communications, especially in the field of EU-funded projects
• A collaborative mindset and confidence working with international partners and multidisciplinary teams across multiple projects.
• Excellent command of English and Greek, with strong writing, editing and storytelling skills in both languages.
• A strong understanding of social media and digital communications, with the ability to adapt content for different platforms, formats and audiences.
• Hands-on experience with Canva, digital content creation and basic video editing.
• Familiarity with WordPress and website content management.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Curiosity, creativity and a genuine interest in experimenting with new formats, learning new tools and developing new skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools, analytics platforms, email marketing software or digital campaigns will also be valued.
What we offer
• A competitive remuneration package.
• A role combining European project communications, digital storytelling and content creation, with genuine ownership from planning through to delivery.
• The opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of European projects with social impact and collaborate with organisations across Europe.
• Hands-on experience across communications strategy, social media, video production, events, websites, AI and international project coordination.
