Purchasing Officer - Bagatelle Athens Job Summary The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of all Food & Beverage items. This role ensures that all deliveries meet company standards and specifications, inventory is properly managed, and records are accurately maintained. The position supports the Food & Beverage department in maintaining stock integrity, minimizing waste, and ensuring smooth operations through effective administrative and storekeeping practices. Key Duties and Responsibilities Receiving & Inspection: Verify and receive all incoming F&B deliveries against purchase orders and invoices. Inspect products for quality, quantity, temperature, and compliance with health and safety standards. Report discrepancies or damages to suppliers and relevant departments. Inventory & Storage Management: Organize, label, and store all goods in designated storage areas (dry, chilled, and frozen). Issuance & Documentation: Process purchase requisitions and ensure timely issuance of F&B items to various outlets. Maintain accurate documentation of stock movements (receiving, transfers, issuance, returns). Assist in monthly and quarterly stock counts. Administrative Support: Prepare receiving reports and update records in the inventory system. Ensure all supplier invoices and delivery notes are properly filed and submitted to inventory software. Support the F&B team in procurement follow-ups and liaising with suppliers as needed. Compliance & Safety: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of storerooms and receiving areas. Follow hotel/company policies on hygiene, safety, and workplace practices. Ensure proper handling of perishable and non-perishable items in line with food safety standards Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements Diploma or certificate in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 1–2 years of experience in storekeeping, receiving, or F&B administration. Knowledge of inventory systems and procedures (SAP). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Basic knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and storage guidelines. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift, move, and organize stock as required.
