Job Description:
As part of the expansion of our activities, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented
Event Assistant
to join our constantly growing event team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth execution of our events and providing exceptional support to attendees. The Event Assistant will be responsible for various logistical tasks, assisting with event management, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors and providing on-site support during events.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with logistical aspects of event planning, including venue selection and vendor coordination.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, such as email newsletters and targeted mailing campaigns.
· Manage registration processes, including attendee inquiries, ticket sales and attendee database management.
· Assist with travel and accommodation arrangements for speakers and guests.
· Provide on-site support during events, including set-up, attendee check-in, delegate support, and troubleshooting.
· Coordinate with all participants: speakers, sponsors, guests and contractors to ensure a seamless experience for all.
· Contribute to post-event activities, such as event evaluation, attendee feedback analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
· Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite, especially excel, with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
· Excellent command of English
· Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
· University degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Marketing/ Social and Political studies or relevant field
· Previous experience in event management or related roles is preferred.
