Role Overview

We are looking for a Python Data Science Developer to join our team in Athens. This is a full-time, hybrid role where you will collaborate with our experienced Development team to build and maintain Marpoint's unique services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend systems for Marpoint's services.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and scalable system design.
  • Continuously optimize system performance and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred; equivalent professional experience considered).
  • Excellent command of Greek and English (oral and written).
  • Completed military obligations (for male candidates).
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication skills.

Core Skills

  • Python (clean, production-ready code).
  • Python API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask).
  • Data analysis (pandas, NumPy, data cleaning, wrangling, visualization).
  • LLM development (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model evaluation).
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) development.
  • Software engineering best practices (Git, testing, CI/CD).
  • Data workflow design and optimization (ETL pipelines, transformations).

Additional Skills

  • Cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
  • Vector databases.
  • Relational databases.
  • Data visualization tools (Plotly, PowerBI).
