The project:
Mace and Jacobs have partnered to form a consortium that is leading all real estate and construction delivery related PMC and programme management services for the Ellinikon development. In its role as the client's real estate delivery partners on this programme, Mace/Jacobs JV are providing consultancy from programme/PMC as well as cost and commercial management, to design and construction management.

You'll be responsible for:
- Conducting feasibility studies and provide strategic advice on procurement routes and contract selection, including preparation of procurement reports.
- Applying value management techniques at the outset of a project to maximize value and performance.
- Leading estimating and cost planning activities, taking full ownership of and presenting the final cost plan to clients and stakeholders.
- Managing and negotiating variations, changes, and claims throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation, evaluation, and resolution in accordance with contract terms.
- Ensuring the successful negotiation and agreement of final accounts.
- Acting as key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants across all project stages, maintaining strong communication and alignment.
- Administering and advising on various form of contract, including standard frameworks (i.e. FIDIC) and bespoke agreements, ensuring effective risk management and compliance.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and tools enhancing service delivery for clients.
- Continuously improving internal systems and processes to boost operational excellence.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports, including cost forecasts and budget tracking, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
You'll need to have:
- Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.
- Previous experience working on high value mixed used development projects.
- Cost planning, budgeting and estimating experience.
- Previous experience of managing people and risk management.
- Knowledge of local contract law.
- Sound knowledge and ability to undertake and advise on contract administration.
- Knowledge of value engineering and life cycle costing.
- Strong understanding of industry best practice.
- Understanding of hot topic issues such as sustainability, social value, carbon reduction impacting public sector.
- Some MEP knowledge.
- Capex V Opex Cost Analysis/ advice.
- Experience on cost-plus contract.
You'll also have:
- A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent.
- Professional membership i.e. MRICS/RICS.
