Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer — BLE / MCU / Renesas Ecosystem (Athens, Greece)

As we expand our engineering presence in Greece (Athens), we are looking for skilled Embedded Firmware Engineers who want to work on impactful, real-world products and grow with us as we scale globally.
Role Overview
As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize firmware for our next-generation BLE devices, built on the Renesas ecosystem.
You will collaborate closely with a team of experienced engineers, contributing to all of the development steps, from concept to production — while gaining exposure to advanced wireless, sensor, and low-power systems.
This a flexible hybrid role: you can work from our Athens office or remotely, depending on project needs and team collaboration priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and optimize embedded firmware for Renesas MCUs and SoCs
- Integrate and debug BLE stacks and wireless communication protocols
- Design advanced architectures for BLE applications related to locationing use cases
- Profile and optimize power, latency, and memory performance
- Integrate and process data from sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, and environmental sensors
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to deliver robust, high-performance embedded solutions
- Participate in code reviews, design review discussions, and continuous embedded applications improvement efforts
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Embedded C development
- 5+ years of experience with BLE protocol stacks and low-power wireless software design
- 3+ years of experience in radio SoC architectures -- experience with Renesas is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of MCU architectures — experience with Renesas is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with RTOS, peripheral interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO)
- Debugging experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD
- Experience with sensor integration (accelerometers, gyroscopes, etc.) is a big plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional, global team
- Curious, detail-oriented, and proactive — eager to learn and contribute
- Professional working proficiency in English and Greek
